I'm playing along with
Ali Edwards and thousands and thousands of others who are sharing photos and words about their
"Week In The Life" of their family or themselves. Capturing the little details of our days really shows how we are living our lives. Because life is made up of all those little momemts strung together; not just the big moments like birthdays and holidays.
I'll be sharing some of the photos from my everyday this week. A lot has changed for our family in the last year so this is a whole new normal for us. I thought it was important to capture it for me and my children. The photos are unedited so I could get them up quickly each morning along with everyone else who is documenting their days.
My breakfast which I like to eat while I catch up on blogs and email since the kids are already off to school. As you can see, I started eating my breakfast before I remembered I needed to take a photo - oh well that's real. And I make my own homemade frappaccinos so I don't go broke buying them everyday from Starbucks.
Yes, it does rain in the high desert of Nevada. We had an awesome rain and thunderstorm Monday afternoon. Love it when it rains.
Surprised the kids by taking their photos as they walked in the door after school. Eric, my 16 year old, wondering what the heck his Mom is up to??
Meghan, my 12 year old, baking brownies. She has such a sweet tooth and likes to bake so making a treat is a normal activity. Someone should put those Easter baskets away. I'm the only "someone" and I'll get to it . . . soon.
There go my kids with their Dad to visit him for the evening. Now that we are separated this is our new normal. I don't know if I'll ever get used to it after 23 years of marriage. And there is my 3rd kid, Kyle, 18 years old, looking back at his Mom. Now you've met my little family except for the furry members.
While the kids have dinner with their Dad, here is my dinner. I eat a lot more cereal since we separated. Good thing I like cereal.
So on the first day of "Week in the Life" I wanted to introduce you to our family. As the week goes by you'll see how we fill our days.
